Hearing Protection OEM & ODM Manufacturer

95% of our output is built for other brands. If you need hearing protection made to your specification — your design, your logo, your packaging, your certification file — that is our core business, not a side service.

Why brands choose MEIYIN

We are not a trading company and not a general PPE assembler. We build hearing protection and communication headsets only, and we own the three capabilities that decide whether an OEM programme succeeds: acoustic engineering, tooling, and in-house validation.

What we can customise

Acoustics

  • Attenuation target (SNR / NRR) tuned to your specification
  • Cup volume, foam density, and cushion selection to hit a required attenuation curve
  • Level-dependent and ambient-awareness tuning for electronic models

Mechanical

  • Headband form, clamping force, and pressure distribution
  • Helmet-mount adapters for your helmet platform
  • Dielectric versions for electrical work environments
  • Colour matching (Pantone), surface finish, and over-moulding

Electronics & communication

  • Bluetooth pairing behaviour and dual-device logic
  • Two-way radio integration (PMR / DMR)
  • Mesh full-duplex group communication — our proprietary technology
  • Microphone type and noise-cancellation tuning

Branding & packaging

  • Your logo on cup, headband, and cushion
  • Retail box, blister, or bulk carton
  • Multi-language user manuals and compliance leaflets
  • Barcode, country-of-origin, and regulatory marking per your market

In-house capability, not outsourced

This is where most hearing protection suppliers stop and we do not.

Tooling and moulding

We run our own mould shop and injection workshop. New cup geometry does not have to wait on an external tool maker, which is what usually turns a 12-week OEM schedule into 20 weeks.

SMT and electronic assembly

SMT placement lines and dedicated electronic assembly areas. Communication earmuffs are built in-house end to end — PCB placement, assembly, burn-in, and final acoustic check.

Acoustic laboratory

We measure attenuation ourselves during development instead of discovering a problem after third-party testing. This is the difference between two sample rounds and five.

Environmental and reliability testing

  • IP ingress-protection test rig
  • Salt-spray corrosion chamber
  • High- and low-temperature test chambers
  • Vibration test station
  • Drop test rig
  • Battery safety test bench
  • Product burn-in room

Third-party validation

Attenuation data for our earmuffs is measured by Michael & Associates, Inc. (State College, PA, USA), a laboratory accredited under the NIST National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP Lab Code 100427-0), to EN 352 series and ANSI S3.19 / S12.6 methods. Testing follows the 16-subject real-ear protocol specified in the standard.

CE certification is issued by CCQS Certification Services Ltd. (Ireland, Notified Body No. 2834) under PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425, Module D.

Quality management is certified to ISO 9001 (certificate 02926Q00219R201, valid to 31 May 2029).

How an OEM programme runs

  1. Enquiry — Tell us the attenuation target, wearing style, market, and annual volume. If you have an existing product you want matched, send its datasheet.
  2. Technical proposal — We come back with a candidate platform, achievable attenuation, tooling requirement, and unit cost at your volume. Usually 2–3 working days.
  3. Sample — 10 days for passive and standard electronic models; 20 days for AI and advanced electronic models. Samples are built on production tooling wherever an existing platform fits.
  4. Validation — We pre-test in our own acoustic lab, then book third-party testing for the certification file.
  5. Certification — CE / EN 352 or ANSI, in your brand name where the regulatory route allows.
  6. Production — 30–45 days depending on model and volume. MOQ 500 pcs.
